Mrs. Margaret Flores-Begay
Mrs. Margaret Flores-Begay was born and raised in Silver City, New Mexico. She and her husband James Begay Jr. have been married for 33 years and raised four daughters. In addition, they have two grandsons whom they adore. Mrs. Flores-Begay started her career in state government working at FBMC, then as a Juvenile Probation Officer, and she finished her tenure working as the Sixth Judicial Adult Drug Court Program Manager. She received her Bachelor's degree in Sociology and her Master’s degree in Interdisciplinary studies in Educational Leadership at WNMU.
In addition to her many accomplishments, Mrs. Flores-Begay started her teaching career as an adjunct instructor at Western New Mexico University’s Deming branch for fourteen years instructing students in Criminal Justice courses. Mrs. Flores-Begay finished this chapter of public service in the state government after 26 years of service. She has been highly involved in serving as a volunteer in Girl Scouts, the Grant County Youth Soccer Association, the Grant County DWI task force, the Aldo Leopold Governing Council, and other youth related organizations.
Mrs. Flores-Begay started her lifelong dream of being a Reading interventionist/ELA teacher at Snell/CHS in 2018. More recently she was hired to lead at Snell Middle School. Mrs. Flores-Begay is excited and motivated to work with the middle school students, staff, parents and the outlying mining district community. Demetrio A. Sanchez

Demetrio A. Sanchez, better known as Artie. He is the Cobre High School and Snell Middle School Assistant Principal. He will also be the Cobre School District Athletic Director. This will be his twentieth year in education, first year as an Administrator. He has twenty-six years coaching experience in different sports. He is married to Amanda and together they have three sons, Demetrio III (Tre), Marcus, and Andru. They have three daughters-in-law Bianca, Brianna, and Vanessa. Their lives have been blessed with four grandsons, Jevry, Exander, Dru, Marcus Jr., and are expecting their 5th grandchild in December of 2023. He is looking forward to getting to know the staff and students in our schools, and working hard for the mining district, "the best is yet to come."
